Iconics/Poetics

Presenting the entire Iconics/Poetics series, exhibited in solo shows and exhibitions internationally since 2010. 

This series is comprised of hand-drawn sketches and paintings intertwined with photography and images by the artist unified in a digital ambience. 

The series plays upon classic notions of “Icons”- such as angels, myths, shape, poetry, and concept – with the artist’s superimposed visualization of the idea. Some works feature poetry and prose, while others are decidedly more abstract and painterly. The artist's attention to color and texture, which is enhanced by the luminescent surface of archival-quality acrylic, is essential to every piece.

The blending of digital elements and innovative approaches characterizes the series. Aside from the digital, a focus on layering is a motif.
