I could not resist incorporating this color du jour that I’m seeing everywhere in Rome street fashion: burgundy. The photo might be recognizable from my Tuscan retreat. The verse is Leopardi’s “A Silvia” in the poet’s own writing, found through an online Neopolitan library.
